About The Position
The City of Jefferson is currently accepting applications for Volleyball Officials for our Parks and Recreation Department. This position officiates and records scores of volleyball (indoor and sand) matches and administers games in a professional and responsible manner according to Parks & Recreation guidelines. Games will be held in the evenings.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills necessary.
- Must be 16 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Officiating experience.
- Basic or thorough knowledge of the applicable sport and ability to teach.
- Supervisory experience.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Thorough knowledge of USAV and/or national federation volleyball rules.
- MSHSAA certification.
- Membership in a recognized officials' association.
Responsibilities
- Officiate and record scores of volleyball (indoor and sand) matches.
- Administer games in a professional and responsible manner according to Parks & Recreation guidelines.
- Oversee sports games.
- Serve as the on-site representative to handle game-related problems.
- Supervise program staff.
- Keep records.
