About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional voice instructor to teach part-time in person at Music and Dance Academy in Tucson, Arizona. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours; consistent availability is appreciated, and candidates with greater availability will be preferred. The school offers a flexible schedule and a supportive work environment, with positive classrooms serving students from age 3 through adulthood.

The instructor will teach voice to students, including children age 5 and older, across a variety of musical styles and genres. A strong music background demonstrated through a music performance degree or equivalent performing experience, a love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, basic piano skills for accompanying students, punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check are sought. Pay is $25–$27 per hour, commensurate with experience. Health benefits options and a 401(k) with employer match are available to part-time and full-time employees after 30 days of employment.

Requirements

• Experience teaching voice to students age 5 and older.
• Comfort teaching a variety of musical styles and genres.
• Basic piano skills and ability to accompany students in lessons.
• A strong music background demonstrated by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience.
• A demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
• Punctuality and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a routine background check.
