About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional voice instructor to teach part-time in person at Music and Dance Academy in Tucson, Arizona. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours; consistent availability is appreciated, and candidates with greater availability are preferred. The school is well established and offers a flexible schedule and supportive work environment. Its teachers work with students from age 3 through adulthood, teaching playing and performance techniques while also developing students’ life skills. The instructor will teach voice lessons to students ages 5 and older and should be comfortable with a variety of styles and genres. Basic piano skills are needed to accompany students during lessons. Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and ranges from $25 to $27 per hour. Health benefit options and a 401(k) with employer match are available to part-time and full-time Ensemble employees after 30 days of employment.

Requirements

Strong music background, evidenced by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience.
Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
Basic piano skills and ability to accompany students in lessons.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a routine background check.
Punctuality and reliability.

Nice To Haves

Experience teaching voice to students ages 5 and older.
Comfort teaching a variety of styles and genres.
