The primary responsibilities include the preparation of daily living/work activities and other duties providing for a smooth work training environment for developmentally disabled adults. This role involves representing the organization positively, leading by example, and maintaining documentation according to program requirements. The instructor will provide supervision, training, instruction, and assistance to consumers with intellectual and developmental disabilities in areas of living skills, pre-vocational skills, and work training. Responsibilities also include inspecting and maintaining equipment, estimating time and materials, transporting consumers, and performing routine paperwork.
