About The Position

WellPower's Vocational Trainee program provides experience to individuals who have a mental illness and who wish to learn a job or vocation. The goal of the program is to help individuals obtain work related skills and experiences that will lead to regular employment in the communities where they live. If selected, each program provides 9-11 months of learning experiences meant to support preparation for competitive employment.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in and receiving services by WellPower.
  • Standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier loads with assistance.

  • Care for practical needs of the Inventory Department based on ‘Work Station’
  • Work Station Area (1) - Bottling Liquid Cleaning Products (ex: laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap & fabric softener)
  • Work Station Area (2) – Process Incoming Donations
  • Work Station Area (3) - Special Products Processing
  • Work Station Area (4) - Processing Special Items and Special Events
  • Work Station Area (5) - Processing Clothing

Responsibilities

  • Label tags & prepare items for Shopette.
  • Process incoming donations through inspection, cleaning, testing and organizing according to warehouse procedures.
  • Organize and restock goods in our shop, & assist with basic inventory checks.
  • Monitor inventory levels by identifying low stock, damaged items, or misplaced products.
  • Learn layout and product location.
  • Maintain necessary records of work and supplies.
  • Abide by safety practices in a warehouse setting.
  • Support other staff and departments as needed.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing and understanding.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by wiping surfaces and keeping isles clean.
  • Other duties assigned.
