This Vocational Trainee position is part of the Customer Service Experience Program – 2Succeed, supervised by Candice Vigil, and will be located at the Next Chapter Market Café. The shift is Monday-Friday, 10 am-2 pm, with a pay rate of $19.29/hr. The program aims to develop professional and empathetic communication skills, crisis management, customer service etiquette, and confidence in communicating challenges and ideas. Trainees will learn to manage inventory, handle cash transactions, maintain accurate records, operate new equipment, and ensure a safe environment for themselves and others. They will also learn the importance of PHI confidentiality, care for community members' practical needs, articulate protocols, answer questions, and provide ethical customer service. The program has a training phase of 4-6 months, a proficiency phase of 5-7 months, and completion of vocational employment in 8-10 months. Tuberculosis (TB) screening and testing are required prior to hire and must be maintained during employment.
