About The Position

Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is a federal-state vocational program dedicated to helping people with physical or mental disabilities be successful in employment. This position performs professional supervisory work overseeing Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors. The role is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; and evaluating performance to ensure effective service delivery and positive workforce outcomes. The incumbent exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, assigning, promoting, disciplining, and recommending personnel actions in alignment with agency policies, and operational goals. This position may require occasional travel within the assigned service area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Business, Psychology, Education, Public Safety, or Criminology and 3 years of professional experience OR Master’s or Doctoral degree in relevant fields and 2 years of professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience applying knowledge of the evolving workforce and the needs of individuals with disabilities within advocacy and/or employment-related roles
