About The Position

The Vocational Group Counselor participates actively as part of the treatment team by facilitating vocational-oriented groups, as well as psychosocial and psychoeducational groups as needed. This role involves completing daily documentation and providing supportive counseling to members during group sessions. The position also requires ongoing communication with primary Rehabilitation Counselors, participation in treatment planning, and supervision of students and/or volunteers. The counselor will order necessary program supplies with approval and complete all required documentation in the Electronic Health Record system on the same day of service. Training must be completed in a timely manner, and participation in staff and treatment team meetings is required. Other duties may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer and/or Director of Clinical and Vocational Rehabilitation.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with group counseling in a vocational or mental health setting required.

• BA in Human Services preferred

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads vocational-oriented groups and some psychoeducational groups as it pertains to vocational readiness, as designated by the Director of Clinical and Vocational Rehabilitation.
• Provide supportive counseling of members, during group time.
• Conduct ongoing communication with primary Rehabilitation Counselors and participate in treatment planning meetings and activities.
• Provide supervision of students and/or volunteers assigned to the group.
• Order supplies necessary for the program with the approval of the Director of Clinical and Vocational Rehabilitation.
• Complete daily group notes and any other required documentation at the time of service (same day) in the Electronic Health Record system.
• Complete training in a timely manner.
• Participate in all staff and treatment team meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer and/or Director of Clinical and Vocational Rehabilitation.
