We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Vocational Counselor to join our team in Remington, VA! In this role, you aren’t just filling jobs—you are transforming lives. You will act as a strategist, advocate, and coach for individuals facing diverse challenges, guiding them toward fulfilling careers and long-term independence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, General Education, or History & Arts; Associate’s Degree with 1 year of relevant experience; High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • General Education/Tutoring Experience: Minimum of 3 years required.
  • Proficiency working with Workplace by Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and Asana.
  • Valid Driver's License and Transportation w/proper insurance coverage.
  • Successful Drug Screen and Background Check (Federal, State, County).
  • First Aid/CPR (Upon Employment) and completion of Relias Training/Online Virtual Training (completed On-Site).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify individual strengths to craft customized employment plans.
  • Lead clients through the full employment lifecycle, from interview prep to on-the-job coaching.
  • Advocate for reasonable accommodations and assistive technology to ensure a level playing field.
  • Connect with local employers to create inclusive workplace cultures.
  • Provide long-term support to ensure workplace integration and career advancement.
