About The Position

Omega Health Services is seeking a Vocational Counselor to help individuals overcome challenges and build bridges to true independence. This role involves acting as a coach, strategist, and partner throughout the employment process, from initial contact to the first paycheck. The goal is to empower individuals to achieve their career goals and create positive change in the Fairfax community.

Responsibilities

Design custom career blueprints by uncovering the hidden strengths of individuals overcoming diverse challenges.
Guide clients through the entire employment process, including resume polishing, interview preparation, and hands-on job coaching.
Champion the use of assistive technology and reasonable accommodations to ensure clients have a fair opportunity for success.
Partner with local employers and hiring managers to coach them on fostering inclusive workplace cultures.
Act as an expert on local labor market trends to ensure clients have access to the best opportunities.
