About The Position

Omega Health Services is a CARF-accredited leader dedicated to helping veterans, individuals with autism, and those with developmental challenges find employment. They are seeking a dedicated community advocate to bridge the gap between having a disability and having a career, ensuring everyone has the independence and dignity that comes with a paycheck. This role is for someone who believes everyone deserves a seat at the table and has the drive to make it happen.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Ideally in Early Childhood Education, General Education, or History & Arts) OR Associate’s Degree + 1 year of relevant work experience OR High School Diploma / GED + 2 years of relevant work/life experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of general education or tutoring experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and Asana.
  • Valid Driver’s License and personal transportation with proper insurance coverage.
  • Successful completion of a standard drug screen and comprehensive background checks (Federal, State, and County).
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon employment).
  • Completion of Relias Training (completed on-site).

Responsibilities

  • Pair consumers with local businesses, assisting them from the initial interview to their first promotion.
  • Educate employers on assistive technology and reasonable accommodations.
  • Provide 1-on-1, on-site support to teach vital workplace social skills and help coworkers become natural supports for clients.
  • Utilize tools like Asana and Google Workspace to track progress, document success stories, and collaborate with the Person-Centered Planning (PCP) team.
