About The Position

Omega Health Services is seeking a Vocational Counselor to help individuals overcome challenges and build bridges to true independence. This role involves acting as a coach, strategist, and partner throughout the employment process, from initial contact to the first paycheck. The goal is to empower individuals to achieve employment and create positive change in the Fairfax community.

Responsibilities

Design Custom Success: Uncover the hidden strengths of individuals overcoming diverse challenges to co-create personalized career blueprints.
Master the Employment Lifecycle: Guide clients through the entire process—from polishing resumes and nailing interviews to providing expert, hands-on job coaching.
Demolish Obstacles: Champion the use of assistive technology and reasonable accommodations to ensure clients have a fair shot at success.
Engineer Inclusive Spaces: Partner with local Fairfax employers and hiring managers, coaching them on how to foster welcoming workplace cultures where clients belong.
Stay Ahead of the Market: Act as the "go-to" expert on local labor market trends, ensuring clients always have access to the best opportunities.
