About The Position

Omega Health Services is a CARF-accredited leader dedicated to helping veterans, individuals with autism, and those with developmental challenges find employment. They are seeking a dedicated community advocate to bridge the gap between disability and career, ensuring everyone has the opportunity for independence and dignity through employment. This role involves actively connecting consumers with businesses, educating employers on accommodations, providing on-site support, and collaborating with the Person-Centered Planning (PCP) team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s Degree + 1 year of relevant work experience OR High School Diploma / GED + 2 years of relevant work/life experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of general education or tutoring experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and Asana.
  • Valid Driver’s License and personal transportation with proper insurance coverage.
  • Successful completion of a standard drug screen and comprehensive background checks (Federal, State, and County).
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon employment).
  • Completion of Relias Training (completed on-site).

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, General Education, or History & Arts.

Responsibilities

  • Pair consumers with local businesses, guiding them through the employment process from interview to promotion.
  • Educate employers on assistive technology and reasonable accommodations.
  • Provide 1-on-1, on-site support to teach workplace social skills and foster natural supports from coworkers.
  • Utilize tools like Asana and Google Workspace to track progress, document success stories, and collaborate with the PCP team.
