About The Position

Join Hirsch Pipe & Supply as a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Service Specialist II at its new Huntington Beach location. This hands-on, customer-focused role manages inventory at customer locations, ensures products are stocked and available when needed, and builds strong customer relationships. The specialist works closely with sales, warehouse, and delivery teams to support efficient operations and outstanding customer service.

Requirements

Experience in inventory management, supply chain, or wholesale distribution; plumbing or a related industry is preferred.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer sites.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to customer locations.

Responsibilities

Maintain and restock customer inventories at designated locations to prevent stockouts and overstock.
Serve as the primary contact for VMI customers, address their needs, and support customer satisfaction.
Accurately record and submit orders to ensure timely product replenishment.
Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to support efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
Monitor inventory levels, usage trends, and product demand, and provide insights to improve efficiency.
Stay informed about plumbing products and industry trends to assist customers effectively.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
