Visual Merchandising Specialist
About The Position
Boscov’s is seeking Retail Visual Specialists to join its retail visual merchandising team. The role executes visual merchandising throughout the assigned store, using company-wide programs to engage customers and adapting corporate visual direction to the location. Specialists work with store and department management to create and maintain presentations, promotions, mannequins, and other displays. The position also includes communication with store management and corporate visual teams, ordering graphics and supplies, and helping with store openings or renovation floor sets, which may involve overnight travel.
Requirements
- Experience in merchandising and styling, with knowledge of current trends.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Professionalism, strong organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand floor plans and planograms.
- Comfort operating a computer or tablet and willingness to learn new programs and systems.
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision.
- Ability and desire to engage customers through storewide visual merchandising programs.
Responsibilities
- Execute all aspects of visual merchandising in the assigned location.
- Follow corporate visual direction and adapt presentations to fit the location.
- Partner with the store manager, assistant manager, and department managers to execute presentations.
- Use event calendars and sale dates to set promotional events.
- Update and maintain mannequins and forms weekly.
- Adjust accent lighting as needed for presentations.
- Maintain existing store presentations as needed.
- Keep the visual shop and fixture and hardware area clean, safe, and organized.
- Attend weekly Webex calls for visual merchandising direction.
- Communicate by email with store management and corporate visual teams.
- Submit web-based order forms for graphics, vinyl, and supplies in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Assist with store openings and renovation floor sets, which could include overnight travel.
