About The Position

The Visual Merch Materials Handler is responsible for moving merchandise from the warehouse and around the sales floor under the direction of Visual Coordinators and Team Leaders. The goal is to create and maintain a compelling presentation of merchandise that engages customers and stimulates sales activity, while adhering to all safety guidelines. This role also requires maintaining a friendly and professional environment by acknowledging every customer and co-worker. The position demands reliability, responsibility, dependability, attention to detail, and thoroughness in completing work tasks. The employee will perform any other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

• Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Positive attitude when working with customers.
• Knowledge of merchandise handling procedures.
• Knowledge of employment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble merchandise after it is unloaded and staged for the floor.
• Move merchandise to the floor using carts.
• Move merchandise from one bay to another as instructed.
• Ensure merchandise being displayed looks its best.
• Change or rotate displays and signage to reflect changes in inventory or promotion.
• Perform any other duties as requested by management.
