About The Position

The Display Materials Handler is responsible for moving merchandise from the warehouse and around the floor under the direction of Visual Coordinators and Team Leaders. This role involves creating and maintaining a compelling presentation of merchandise to engage customers and stimulate sales activity, while strictly adhering to all safety guidelines. The handler is also expected to maintain a friendly and professional environment by acknowledging every customer and co-worker. The job requires reliability, responsibility, dependability, attention to detail, and thoroughness in completing tasks. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Positive attitude when working with customers
Knowledge of merchandise handling procedures
Knowledge of employment and safety procedures
Reliable, responsible, and dependable
Attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks

Responsibilities

Move merchandise from warehouse and around floor under direction of Visual Coordinators and Team Leaders
Create and maintain a compelling presentation of merchandise that will engage customers and help stimulate sales activity
Abide by all safety guidelines
Maintain a friendly and professional environment by acknowledging every customer and co-worker that approaches
Perform any other duties as directed by management
Assembly merchandise after it is unloaded and staged for the floor
Move merchandise to the floor using carts
Move merchandise from one bay to another as instructed
Make sure merchandise that is being displayed looks the best possible way it can
Change or rotate displays and signage to reflect changes in inventory or promotion
