About The Position

State Street is seeking a talented visual designer with 4+ years of experience and a strong portfolio of creative work spanning digital and traditional media including campaigns, websites, and motion. This is an opportunity for a creative professional who is energized by the power of brand expression and visual storytelling and is motivated by the chance to create high-impact work for a global audience. As part of State Street’s Brand and Creative team within Global Marketing, you will partner with creative leadership, designers, producers, and internal communications colleagues to create thoughtful, polished creative for State Street’s internal communications efforts globally. Your creative ideas and work will directly engage, inform and inspire 50,000+ employees around the world. The ideal candidate is highly creative, proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working on both individual products and integrated campaigns in a fast-paced in-house studio.

Requirements

  • Formal training in graphic or visual design and/or 4+ years of experience in a design studio, agency or in-house creative team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat is required.
  • Proficiency in Figma is required.
  • Proven expertise working with Adobe Firefly or similar generative AI tools is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word, is required.
  • Demonstrated experience creating strong visual communications, campaigns and presentations.
  • Proven ability to deliver clean, accurate, refined, production-ready artwork.
  • Expert knowledge of digital production methods; video and print experience is a plus.
  • Experience designing digital assets for Microsoft 365 platforms, including SharePoint, Teams and Stream — or similar platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Audition is a plus.
  • Experience in B2B marketing or financial services is not required, but is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Translate internal communication strategies into compelling creative concepts and layouts for the company’s employee communications and campaigns to promote brand and product launches, employee programs and events, reports, and employee-wide emails.
  • Own the design and global deployment of digital signage assets across offices using our Appspace platform.
  • Maintain brand consistency across projects by adhering to State Street’s brand guidelines and executing with sound judgment and collaboration between internal teams and external vendors.
  • Create and optimize digital, presentation and campaign assets for internal communications.
  • Develop information graphics that make complex ideas clear and engaging.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective design solutions.
  • Prepare production-ready files, templates and archived assets with accuracy and consistency.
