About The Position

The Visual Associate supports visual merchandising and sales-floor readiness at Saks Fifth Avenue. The role requires initiative, urgency, a proactive and solution-oriented approach, and the ability to achieve targeted results with limited coaching. The associate follows directives and corporate guidelines from the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team, and helps maintain merchandise presentation and prepare promotional events and displays.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of visual team experience in a major multi-level department store.
• A portfolio of previously created projects.
• Ability to use carpentry tools safely and efficiently.
• Experience with painting techniques.
• Experience with basic production and knowledge of materials.
• Experience with styling and fashion pulls.
• Strong knowledge of current fashion and art trends.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate initiative and urgency in preparing the selling floor before the store opens.
• Follow directives and corporate guidelines from the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team.
• Execute promotional and sale setups, including presentation, lettering, and sales-floor signage.
• Assist the Sales Support Team with trunk shows and personal appearance setups and preparation.
• Assist with replenishing merchandise on the selling floor and in wall units.
• Handle additional responsibilities as needed.
