Visual Associate
About The Position
The Visual Associate supports Saks Fifth Avenue’s visual presentation and sales-floor readiness. The role requires initiative, urgency, a proactive and solution-oriented approach, and the ability to achieve targeted results with limited coaching. The associate follows directives and corporate guidelines from the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team, helps execute promotional and sale presentations, and supports merchandise replenishment and event set-ups. The position also requires visual-team experience in a major multi-level department store, practical production and styling skills, and knowledge of current fashion and art trends.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of visual-team experience in a major multi-level department store.
- A portfolio of previously created projects.
- Ability to use carpentry tools safely and efficiently.
- Experience with painting techniques.
- Experience with basic production and knowledge of materials.
- Experience with styling and fashion pulls.
- Strong knowledge of current fashion and art trends.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate initiative and urgency in preparing the selling floor before the store opens.
- Follow directives and corporate guidelines set by the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team.
- Execute promotional and sale set-ups, including presentation, lettering, and sales-floor signage.
- Assist the Sales Support Team with trunk shows and personal appearance set-ups and preparation.
- Assist with replenishing merchandise on the selling floor and in wall units.
- Handle ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
