The ideal candidate is comfortable interacting and initiating conversations with children, and their caregivers, is approachable with a positive attitude, and has the ability to adapt to changes based on Museum needs, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment as well as in quieter, and more focused interaction, takes pride in their work and has high standards for visitor experience, resourceful and able to anticipate needs or potential problems; uses creative out-of-the box thinking to problem solve and a team player. The Visitor Experience Ambassador (VEA) reporting to the Visitor Experience Manager is responsible for maintaining a positive, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children and their caregivers to explore the power of play while engaging in hands-on experiences. Interacts with our diverse families to ensure a safe learning environment, create joyful experiences, and spark curiosity, imagination, and creativity. The VEA is an important member of our Visitor Experience team and plays a key role in staffing museum exhibits and maintaining exhibit cleanliness, safety, and accessibility, while supporting educational programs and events. The VEA also support admissions, membership, and development campaign sales, but most importantly, promote the lifelong love of learning and fun. Full-time & Part-Time hires available
