About The Position

The Visitor Experience Staff serves as a primary point of contact for all visitors, delivering a welcoming and engaging guest experience while supporting daily operations. This role is responsible for admissions, retail sales, and cash handling, as well as maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting environment. The Visitor Experience Staff may assist with programs, tours, events, and venue rentals, and provide clerical and operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, point-of-sale systems, and digital file organization tools (e.g., SharePoint, Google Drive, or similar).
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Friendly, outgoing, and enjoys working with the public
  • Experience with cash handling procedures
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • Adaptable and comfortable in a flexible work environment

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Money handling experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage visitors, answer questions, and provide referrals
  • Handle cash transactions and complete daily financial reporting
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including end-of-day cleaning
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting admissions area and gift shop environment
  • Prepare materials for admissions and activities; print and organize necessary resources
  • Provide general clerical support, including filing and data entry
  • Interact with visitors of all ages and enforce site rules
  • Support venue rentals, food service, and special events
  • Provide shuttle services for guests using a people mover
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
