About The Position

The Visitor Ambassador is responsible for administering all aspects of general wellness screening and questionnaire for visitors prior to entry into West TN Healthcare Dyersburg. Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital. This role involves providing a friendly greeting, showing compassion, empathy, and kindness in all interactions, and understanding visitation guidelines to prioritize patient and visitor safety. The ambassador will ask non-staff visitors to stop for a brief screening, perform general wellness screening using a provided tool (which may involve minimal physical contact and verbal questions), and provide any required personal protective equipment. The position requires availability for various shifts and weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Adaptability to software applications.
• Knowledge of healthcare environment to effectively assess and prioritize communication needs.
• Above average verbal skills required in giving accurate instruction, communicating effectively with hospital staff, patients and families.
• Ability to work directly with a patient during Virtual Visitation with regard to patient positioning, ability to verbalize, vision, etc.
• Ability to perform office procedures as required.

Nice To Haves

• Retail, customer service or other experience as a front line staff preferred
