The Visiting Scientist is an advanced scientist training post where most Visiting Scientists are on sabbatical to learn new techniques, gain research experience, or for collaborations. They may perform experiments, record results and analyze the resultant data, publish original findings, apply for funding, and communicate results in presentations in and outside the Cancer Center. The Visiting Scientist is also expected to collaborate with other scientists and professionals, and maintain a professional network. They may also provide support to the lab by coordinating tasks, providing organizational support, training new personnel, ordering reagents and maintaining general laboratory records.
