About The Position

The Visiting Fellow will gain personal and professional growth through specialized research training and experience under the guidance of Dr. Kawasumi in the Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is a 1-year term position as a Visiting Scholar, focusing on conducting independent and collaborative research projects in the Kawasumi Lab at The Ohio State University. The primary research areas will be skin cancer biology and skin cancer epigenetics, with the goal of investigating genomic and epigenomic abnormalities in skin cancer and exploring methods to modulate DNA damage responses or epigenetic changes to inhibit skin cancer.

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree in medicine/immunology/molecular biology/biology /biochemistry/biological chemistry

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research projects in the Kawasumi Lab at The Ohio State University primarily on skin cancer biology and skin cancer epigenetics
  • Investigate genomic and epigenomic abnormalities that exist in skin cancer
  • Modulate DNA damage responses or epigenetic changes to inhibit skin cancer
