About The Position

The School of Music is seeking a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Visiting Instructor of Music Technology. Position responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load or its equivalent, and service. Assigned courses may include Audio and Acoustics, Audio for Media Applications, Digital Audio Production, Electronic Music Production Techniques, Intro to Sound Reinforcement, Introduction to Digital Audio, Internship in Music Technology, Music Studio Recording Techniques, Music Technology Practicum, Seminar in Music Technology, Sound Reinforcement and Music Production, Applied Guitar, and electives in the candidate’s area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Earned master’s degree in music technology or equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree in music with evidence of substantial experience and expertise in Music Technology and Production, by the employment start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Earned doctorate degree in Music by the employment start date.
  • Significant advanced training in Music Technology and Production.
  • College teaching experience.

Responsibilities
