About The Position

The Graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design department at Pratt Institute is calling for applications of prospective candidates for possible opportunities to join our part-time teaching faculty, starting in the Fall 2026 semester. The Graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design department is committed to educating students to become creative and responsible design leaders capable of bringing positive changes in culture, society, and environment. Devoted to a creative learning community, Pratt recognizes the strength that stems from a diversity of perspectives, ideas, backgrounds, approaches and experiences. Requirements

  • A professional degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or relevant fields
  • Undergraduate or graduate-level teaching experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A demonstrated level of intercultural competence
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and knowledge in Design studio teaching
  • Technical expertise in building systems design
  • Digital and physical fabrication, visualization, and/or communication
  • History/Theory expertise

Responsibilities

  • Teach part-time seminars in the Graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design department in the mediums, technology, or history/theory sequence
  • Teach part-time in the M.Arch, MLA, MS Arch, or MSUD studio sequence
