About The Position

The marriage and family therapy visiting assistant professor will teach and supervise seven graduate courses over the fall, January, and spring semesters. In addition, this position will advise in the MMFT programs and operate as a core faculty member in the MMFT Department. The position title will be Director of Clinical Practicum, a role that will require the faculty member to oversee the clinical education component of the MMFT Program in Spartanburg. The primary location of this position will be at the Spartanburg Campus.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related clinical field completed by August 1, 2027.
• AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate.
• Licensed or license eligible as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in SC.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise seven graduate courses over the fall, January, and spring semesters.
• Advise in the MMFT programs.
• Operate as a core faculty member in the MMFT Department.
• Oversee the clinical education component of the MMFT Program in Spartanburg.
• Teach two classes and supervise in the fall.
• Teach two courses and supervise in the spring.
• Participate in faculty and other departmental meetings, such as accreditation meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Marriage and Family Department.
