About The Position

Sacred Heart University's Department of Biology is seeking two full-time, nine-month Visiting Assistant Teaching Professors. One position focuses on Anatomy and Physiology, and the other on General Biology and Ecology. The roles require demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching, including instruction for nursing and major-level Anatomy and Physiology. The Ecology position involves supervising up to 15 students at forest and shoreline field sites for sophomore-level laboratories, in addition to laboratory-based instruction. Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Biology or a related field in the biological sciences (ABD considered).
  • Support Sacred Heart University's intellectual and ethical development of all students.

  • Ability to drive an 8-passenger van to field sites (for Biology/Ecology candidates).

Responsibilities
