WILLIAMS COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY invites applications for a one year position with the possibility of extending for an additional year. Visiting Assistant Professor position in Social Psychology , beginning July 1, 2026. Applications are welcome in all areas of specialization within social psychology. The teaching load is two courses, or the equivalent, in the fall semester, and two courses, or the equivalent, in the spring semester. These courses could consist of a subset of the following courses: an introductory course in social psychology, an upper-level research seminar in the candidate’s area of specialty with an accompanying laboratory (this course with its weekly lab would be the equivalent of two courses), a statistics and methods course (this course with its weekly lab would be the equivalent of two courses), and the social psychology section of a team-taught introductory psychology course. We provide mentoring in teaching and research for visiting faculty, as well as research facilities and support for conducting research with students.
