About The Position

The Department of Management and Marketing in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Central College invites applications for two (2) Visiting Assistant Professor of Management & Marketing positions to begin August 1, 2026. The duties in this role include: Provide excellent instruction in a variety of undergraduate business courses in Management and Marketing. This position has a teaching load of 24 credits per academic year. Other courses may be assigned depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Assess students’ work and provide detailed feedback on how to improve their content knowledge, critical thinking skills, oral and written communication skills, etc. Mentor undergraduate students through one-on-one and group interactions and independent study opportunities. Attend conferences and workshops as necessary to remain active in the field(s) of study and qualifications for AACSB accreditation; engage with department and School of Business and Entrepreneurship faculty to further develop teaching and mentoring skills; complete campus-wide training required by the Offices of Academic Affairs and Human Resources. Perform other departmental duties and attend activities as necessary, including attending faculty meetings, and participating in committees, task forces, and others as required.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in business or related field such as Ph.D., D.B.A., or J.D. (ABD ok)
  • Meets AACSB faculty qualifications for Scholarly Academic
  • Teaching experience
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship/professional development
  • Already authorized to work in the U.S.
