F/T Visiting Assistant Professor of English
About The Position
Virginia Military Institute is hiring a full-time, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor of English for a one-year appointment beginning in January or August 2027, with the option of renewal. The position involves teaching Core Curriculum courses in written and/or oral communication for 12 contact hours per term and mentoring students. All classes are taught in person at VMI. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in English or Rhetoric/Composition and have teaching experience and a professional interest in Rhetoric and Composition. Health and retirement benefits are included. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
