About The Position

The University of Wyoming is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor, Teacher/Artist of Trumpet, for the Music Department. This position involves teaching studio trumpet, recruiting and maintaining a high-quality trumpet studio, coaching ensembles, performing as a soloist and in faculty ensembles, and participating in outreach activities. The role also includes teaching classes in the jazz area, working cooperatively with colleagues and students, establishing a reputation for high-quality performance, assuming normal professional duties such as creative activity, service, and student advising, and contributing to the intellectual and cultural life of the University. The position is located on campus in Laramie, Wyoming.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) is required
  • Demonstrate evidence of active professional performance in a variety of musical settings
  • A valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP
