About The Position

The University of Wyoming is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor - Music (Teacher/Artist of Trumpet) to join their campus community. This role involves teaching studio trumpet, recruiting students, coaching ensembles, performing as a soloist and in faculty ensembles, participating in outreach activities, and serving as a liaison with regional music educators. The position also includes teaching classes in the jazz area, working cooperatively with colleagues and students, establishing a reputation for high-quality performance, and contributing to the intellectual and cultural life of the University. Requirements

  • A Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) is required.
  • Applicant must demonstrate evidence of active professional performance in a variety of musical settings.
  • A valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
