About The Position
The University of Mount Union's Department of Art is seeking a full-time, one-year visiting Art Faculty member. The department offers majors in Studio Art, Graphic Design, and Art Education. The visiting instructor will specialize in one of these three concentrations and will teach courses within the Department of Art and potentially the University's Integrative Core. Responsibilities will include teaching, holding office hours, and performing administrative duties related to the department and studio organization, depending on qualifications and expertise.
Requirements
- Expertise in one of the following concentrations: Studio Art, Graphic Design, or Art Education.
- MFA or MA degree.
- Completion of assigned University compliance training.
Nice To Haves
- Three to five years of collegiate teaching experience.
- Terminal degree within the field.
- Prior professional experience.
- Expertise in Graphic Design, Animation, or Photography.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the Department of Art.
- Potentially teach courses in the University's Integrative Core.
- Hold office hours.
- Perform administrative duties related to the department.
- Perform studio organization duties.
