About The Position

Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Disability Studies in the Department of Educational Psychology. The appointment is for August 2026-May 2027 with the possibility of renewal depending on available funding and job performance. Successful applicants may have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and/or graduate teacher preparation courses if qualified. The candidate’s field of study and/or scholarship should be centered in Disability Studies or Disability Studies in Education. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Disability Studies, Education, or closely related field required by date of appointment and university teaching experience for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor.
  • Master’s degree in Disability Studies, Education, or closely related field by date of appointment and five years of professional experience for appointment as an Instructor.

Nice To Haves

  • Practical knowledge of and current engagement with scholarship, leadership, and/or teaching that directly impacts disability communities.
  • Current scholarship and/or teaching in Disability Studies and/or teacher preparation with a Disability Studies in Education disposition.
  • Experience teaching hybrid or fully online as well as face-to-face courses.
