About The Position

The Department of Leadership and Talent Development at Purdue University Fort Wayne seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2026-27 academic year. The primary specialization will be in one of the following areas: leadership, organizational behavior, or human resource management. The role involves teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in leadership and human resource management, and serving on campus committees, predominantly at the departmental level. The department is dedicated to developing leaders who can create meaningful change in organizations and communities, equipping students with the knowledge and skills for organizational success and impact in a global environment. The department is committed to advancing belonging in all areas of faculty effort, including research, teaching, and service/engagement.

Requirements

  • PhD/terminal degree or ABD in leadership, organizational behavior, human resource management, industrial/organizational psychology or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional candidates with a master’s degree in leadership, organizational behavior, human resource management, industrial/organizational psychology or related field who have extensive work and/or teaching experience may be considered.
  • A 4/4 teaching load is expected.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in leadership and human resource management.
  • Serve on campus committees, predominantly at the departmental level.
  • Deliver a 45-minute instructional presentation if invited for a campus interview.
