About The Position

The School of Business and Communication at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time (9-month) Visiting (Open Rank) Professor of Management and Leadership position to begin August 2026. It also offers a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, which combine theory with real-world experience. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work collegially and effectively with faculty, students, staff, administrative colleagues, alumni, and the professional communities served by the university.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Management and Leadership or closely related business area.
• Ability to teach in an additional area of business.
• Candidates with a master's degree who are ABD will be considered for an instructor position.

Nice To Haves

• University teaching experience is highly desirable.
• Relevant business experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Undergraduate teaching in management and leadership and other undergraduate and/or graduate business courses as assigned by the Dean.
• Academic and career advising of business and communication students.
• School of Business and Communication and University service (e.g. committee service, assessment, recruiting, and promotional events).
• Scholarship is part of the position’s duties, although the position is teaching focused.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
