About The Position

Edmentum is hiring a full-time Virtual Social Science Teacher for students in Indiana or Minnesota. Edmentum is a Remote First education technology company focused on providing flexible learning environments and tools that help educators support students. The teacher delivers live, synchronous, on-camera instruction for at least five hours each scheduled instructional day. They create an engaging, structured virtual classroom, personalize instruction using student performance data, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate student records. The role also involves building relationships with students and families through proactive communication and collaborating with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to provide consistent support. The teacher must be comfortable managing a full student caseload independently in a remote environment and adapting to evolving business needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Active Indiana or Minnesota state teaching license in Social Science for grades 6–12.
Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
Ability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours per day, every instructional day.
Hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.
Ability to interpret student performance data and use it to adjust instruction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
Commitment to professional growth and maintaining certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain certification and stay current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
Take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
