About The Position

Edmentum is hiring a Virtual English/Language Arts Teacher to provide live, synchronous, on-camera instruction to students. The teacher will deliver instruction for five or more hours per day on every scheduled instructional day, creating an engaging and structured virtual classroom that encourages student participation and achievement. Live instruction is an essential function of the role. The teacher will use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt teaching approaches. They will provide timely feedback, maintain accurate student records, and communicate proactively with students and families. The role also collaborates with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to provide consistent support. This is a remote-first position serving students in Indiana and/or Minnesota; preferred state licensure is in Indiana and/or Minnesota.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Active state teaching license with an English/Language Arts endorsement for grades 6–12.
Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
Ability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours per day on every instructional day.
Hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.
Ability to interpret student performance data and adjust live instruction accordingly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to independently manage a full student caseload in a remote environment.
Commitment to professional growth and maintaining certification.
Integrity, warmth, and a belief that every student can succeed.
Willingness to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
