About The Position

Under general direction, the Virtual National Sales Coordinator conducts sales activities related to incoming group inquiries for Drury Hotels’ guest rooms and meeting facilities. This role involves responding to phone, electronic, and internal group leads following the Drury United: The Sales Difference guidelines to increase company, market, and hotel revenue. The coordinator supports Drury United and Hotel Operations by coordinating and servicing the needs of Drury customers for all group bookings. The primary focus is inside sales, including coordinating guest room and meeting room details, handling incoming inquiries, prospecting group leads from third-party platforms, and building lasting relationships with new and existing clients. The position requires maintaining a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality to promote the Drury culture to customers and team members.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the hotel industry, with sales and/or meeting planning experience required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a constantly evolving role.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, friendly service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, all lead sources, and guest issues within the assigned response times.
  • Comply and participate in Drury United: the Sales Difference, including group booking parameters, weekly huddles, ongoing training and development, and other policies and procedures set forth by the Groups and Meetings department.
  • Correspond and communicate with clients, sales teams, and hotel teams as needed for servicing group business, including proposals, group contracts and agreements, group resumes, BEO’s, rooming lists, billing statements, and all necessary client follow-up and documentation.
  • Assist and coordinate with clients on plans for meetings, including room blocks, meeting room functions, F&B, AV, etc.
  • Conduct property tours and maintain an overall knowledge of hotel amenities, rates, and other details related to the client and hotel.
  • Possess an understanding of Company programs and policies including, but not limited to Drury Rewards, Company of the Month, group promotions, STAR process, billing and current PMS and Sales System.
  • Be accountable to other Drury teams such as Regional Managers, Hotel General Managers, Revenue Strategy & Market Sales, Vertical Sales, National Call Center, Revenue Optimization, Legal, and the Marketing Department in order to maximize revenues and occupancies throughout the Company.
  • Monitor client experience through phone and email interactions and inform management of special comments, needs of guests, or potential service opportunities.

  • Comply with the hotel’s safety and security policies and procedures and instructions in performing work efficiently while protecting self, fellow team members, and the hotel.
  • Perform all other duties as required and assigned.
