About The Position

At OneAZ Credit Union, we’re looking for impactful, compassionate, and fearless individuals to join our team. This position will be located at our Corporate Office: 2355 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027. This is NOT a remote position; the person who fills this role will work in-office. The role operates in a call center environment focused on meeting members' loan origination and deposit account needs. Responsibilities include responding to incoming calls, chats, online applications, or branch applications from members interested in consumer loans (lines of credit, vehicle loans, credit cards, equity mortgage loans) and deposit accounts (checking & savings). The position also involves making daily outbound lead calls to attract new members and cross-sell products/services, developing and managing a pipeline of consumer loans and deposit accounts through funding, and partnering with Member Care associates, Mortgage Loan Originators, and back-office support staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development) Required
  • 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience.
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution and/or call center.
  • Strong professional written/verbal communication skills, multitasking ability, and telephone etiquette (High proficiency).
  • A passion for people, innovation, and growth.
  • Candidates will be required to sign an authorization for OneAZ to conduct a credit and criminal background check.
  • Any individual who meets the definition of a mortgage loan originator (MLO) and is employed by a federal agency-regulated institution will need to be registered on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
  • Ensures compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

Responsibilities

  • Process new member and deposit account applications received via web or phone.
  • Gather necessary information to complete deposit account applications up to funding.
  • Respond to new member lead requests, document activities in MXP, and follow up with inquiries.
  • Communicate accurately and timely with prospective members about products, membership value, and services.
  • Maintain knowledge of Credit Union membership eligibility.
  • Effectively communicate with members, vendors, and internal associates regarding sensitive inquiries, requests, and complaints via email or phone.
  • Conduct onboarding dialogue for new members, including outbound contact.
  • Process consumer loan applications received via web or phone.
  • Review credit reports, debt-to-income ratios, loan-to-value, and other pertinent underwriting information.
  • Explain, promote, and inform members of beneficial credit union products and services, such as loan protection products.
  • Develop new member relationships and expand existing ones by offering Credit Union solutions and relationship banking.
  • Gather necessary stipulations to facilitate loan application funding.
  • Utilize electronic signature software to send and process loan and account documents for members.
  • Perform required research to resolve escalated issues.
  • Manage a pipeline of consumer loans and deposit account applications, reporting on pull-through ratios, overall performance, and obstacles.
  • Perform funding duties for all consumer loan products (unsecured and secured).
