About The Position

The Virtual Total Loss Estimator evaluates vehicles remotely to determine total loss eligibility, reviewing photos, valuations, and claim details in accordance with company guidelines. This role supports timely claim resolution through accurate total loss assessments, vendor coordination, and clear communication with customers and internal partners in a fast‑paced, high‑production environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in total loss evaluations and a solid understanding of auto repair procedures, along with the confidence to analyze and negotiate total loss determinations with repair facilities and vendors. Proficiency in CCC and Microsoft applications is essential to support accurate evaluations and documentation. Candidates located within the Eastern Time Zone are strongly preferred, as is prior experience within the auto insurance industry, particularly in roles involving estimating, damage assessment, or total loss handling.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a clear understanding of various options and packages on private passenger automobiles.
• Demonstrates the ability to apply the proper condition rating through standard guidelines and the CCC1 conditioning matrices.
• Demonstrates sound estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses.
• Applies sound understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Builds functional relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Processes a basic understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
