About The Position

The Virtual Account Representative will manage a sales territory of existing accounts within the Food Manufacturing space, responsible for achieving their assigned sales quota through new business acquisition and maintaining existing spend. This is a growth-focused sales position, not a customer service or support role, and requires a self-motivated, results-driven individual capable of independent decision making and strategic territory management. This is a fully remote, home-based position available in some US states (see below). All work is conducted from home, with no regular travel required.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience in a B2B environment & HS Diploma/GED.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers as well as internal teammates.
  • Well-honed listening and problem-solving skills to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections in order provide the services and/or products that best fit the customer’s needs.
  • Attention to detail and excellent digital literacy including Microsoft Suite as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com

Nice To Haves

  • Food or Nutra chemical ingredient experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers through regular sales calls via phone/email/video conference to learn about their business goals, ingredient needs, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure existing business re-orders are secured through regular monitoring of buying patterns and effective territory management.
  • Manage a robust new product opportunity pipeline while regularly updating progress in Salesforce.com
  • Uncover competitive pricing intel, buying drivers, and customer pain points to negotiate for and win new business.
  • Stay updated on market and product line offerings to provide value and insight to customer base.
  • Identify customer potential and appropriately align with service level and sales channel.
