About The Position

The VIP Event Specialist supports VIP and celebrity functions at MSG Entertainment venues, including Madison Square Garden, The Theater, Beacon Theater, and Radio City Music Hall, as well as company events held offsite throughout the year. The role provides top-tier guest experiences and calls for a self-starter who can multitask, maintain close attention to detail in the lead-up to events, and deliver exceptional service during events. The position offers hospitality and event training, with development opportunities in Company Events, VIP Hospitality, and Celebrity Relations.

This is a part-time role scheduled on an event-driven basis, typically weekly. It may also include consistent office hours supporting the Events team with administrative work.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in hospitality or events.
• Detail-oriented and self-sufficient, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and handle customer situations promptly and discreetly in a VIP environment.
• Ability to manage a high volume of customer interaction and multitask in a highly visible environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and transport or handle boxes containing event elements.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, mostly nights and weekends, with some holidays required.
• Availability for in-office work as needed.
• Reachable by email on nights and weekends.
• Possible availability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute events, including pre-event organization and setup of gifting, décor, guest lists, and other elements; provide on-site assistance with ingress/egress, hospitality, and activations; and complete post-event wrap-up.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the department and team needs.
• Create positive and memorable guest experiences during sporting, entertainment, family, and corporate events.
• Execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced service environment.
• Provide exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members, adhering to appearance and presentation guidelines while onsite.
