Violin/Viola Teacher (Store 4755)
About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a music educator to teach violin and viola lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, builds positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and works with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The role offers a non-teaching rate of $17.13 per hour and a teaching rate of $10–$20 per hour depending on background and experience. Musicians may use gig leave to take time off to perform and return to their job afterward.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of music teaching experience, especially with violin and viola.
Nice To Haves
- Further teaching experience with related instruments.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
