About The Position

Bupa is seeking a Village Assistant to help create a welcoming, supportive community where residents feel at home. The role supports residents’ wellbeing, helps new residents settle into village life, and coordinates village activities and engagement programmes. It is based at Bupa Liston Heights Care Home & Retirement Village in Hilltop, Taupō, New Zealand.

The Village Assistant works alongside a supportive team and the Village Coordinator. The position is permanent and full-time, averaging 32 hours per week, with shifts on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an administration or customer service role is preferable.
• Good computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated high level of customer service and customer focus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism.
• Current driver's licence and at least five years of driving experience in New Zealand; the role requires driving a company van.
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Support the Village Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the office and administration.
• Support the Village Coordinator in maintaining resident welfare and wellbeing.
• Assist with orientation programmes for new residents and the day-to-day operations of the village.
• Organise and implement activities and van trips with residents, ensuring transport arrangements are in place.
• Ensure residents have opportunities to participate in entertainment offerings and develop new skills and hobbies.
