About The Position

The Videographer and Editor produces high-quality video content for the Washington Nationals, including game presentation content, marketing commercials, social media features, behind-the-scenes features, and other videos that tell the story of the Nationals on and off the field. The role supports the video production team through shooting and editing footage, logging and managing assets, maintaining equipment, and assisting with production logistics.

The position works with departments across the organization, including the partnerships management team, and collaborates with the Director of Video Production to develop and execute content ideas. It also involves leading assigned shoots and segments, supporting interviews, and adapting videos for different digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit high-quality video content for all departments, including content from home games, community appearances, player shoots, and other projects.
• Create behind-the-scenes features, social media content, long-form features, television and radio commercials, and highlight videos.
• Work with the partnerships management team to deliver contracted assets and sold content pieces that meet partnership needs.
• Log Nationals footage in Adobe Premiere using specified formatting and careful attention to detail.
• Organize projects and follow internal workflows so content can be shared easily.
• Develop skills and explore creative techniques in response to evolving editing styles, cultural trends, and platform best practices.
• Collaborate with the Director of Video Production to develop and execute ideas supporting team objectives.
• Support the Director of Video Production in coordinating and conducting interviews for larger projects.
• Lead individual shoots and segments when assigned.
• Conceptualize and produce content in varied styles and techniques that reflect the Nationals brand and help grow the fan base.
• Adapt videos for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other digital channels to support platform performance.
• Review, proofread, and edit content critically.
• Shoot, edit, and deliver other projects as needed.
• Maintain equipment and assist with selected production logistics.
