About The Position

MyOutDesk (MOD) is seeking a skilled Video Producer who is a storyteller and takes pride in their work. This role involves owning the entire video production process, from concept to execution and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will have a point of view on what makes effective video content and will be empowered to experiment and chase significant viewership. Requirements

  • Ability to work with minimal direction, focusing on goals and context rather than detailed instructions.
  • Proactive in pitching new ideas.
  • Ability to ship content quickly and frequently, balancing quality with speed.
  • Treat every video as an experiment: form a hypothesis, publish, analyze data, and adjust.
  • Collaborate effectively with content, design, and sales teams.
  • Strong video producing fundamentals and taste, using AI as a tool for speed, not as a crutch.
  • Honest reporting of performance, including failures, to facilitate learning.
  • 4+ years of professional video production experience, preferably for a brand or in-house team.
  • A diverse portfolio showcasing range in video styles (long-form, short-form, polished, scrappy) with demonstrated results.
  • End-to-end video production capability (concept, shoot, edit).
  • Competence in camera, lighting, and audio for solo shoots.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Comfort with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong storytelling and scripting abilities, capable of finding narratives in complex topics.
  • Hook-based editing skills with an understanding of retention, pacing, and viewer engagement.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools or a strong enthusiasm to learn and leverage them.
  • Self-direction, including prioritization, planning, and independent delivery.
  • A continuous learning and self-improvement mindset.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Film, Communications, Design, Marketing, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute video strategy, including formats, series, topics, and content calendar.
  • Conceptualize and script video content, identifying compelling narratives and hooks.
  • Manage all aspects of video production, including shooting, lighting, and audio, in various settings.
  • Handle post-production tasks such as editing, sound design, color correction, captioning, and motion graphics.
  • Oversee YouTube content, focusing on long-form videos, channel growth, thumbnails, titles, and viewer retention.
  • Create short-form social media content (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) optimized for each platform.
  • Produce customer and sales-focused videos, including testimonials, case studies, demos, and sales enablement assets.
  • Record, edit, and repurpose webinars and podcasts into multiple content pieces.
  • Develop performance creative, including video ads and A/B testing variants.
  • Track video performance, measure results, and conduct experiments to identify effective strategies.
  • Manage video operations, including maintaining a footage library, organizing project files, and streamlining the request process.
