About The Position

The Division of Enrollment Management is a key campus thought partner and core operational cornerstone that provides collaborative leadership in university-wide efforts to identify, recruit, enroll, support, retain, and graduate the student body. The division is responsible for developing a data-informed enrollment strategy to improve market distinctiveness, and advance the campus strategic plan. The division comprises the offices of Enrollment Management, Financial Aid & Scholarships, University Registrar, Undergraduate Admissions, and Veteran Benefits. The Division of Enrollment Management aims to align the initiatives and activities of academic units and administrative divisions with enterprise strategic goals through sustainable enrollment planning. The office engages campus and external partners in meaningful conversations on enrollment trends and outcomes and uses industry expertise and data-driven analytics to inform direction and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of enrollment management principles, including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, and registrar operations within a complex higher education environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with demonstrated success in directing large, complex organizations and motivating high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of strategic planning, budgeting, and institutional positioning methodologies.
  • Ability to develop and lead innovative, data-driven enrollment management programs that support institutional goals and student success.
  • Exceptional ability in leading successful organizational change, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring accountability and stewardship of university resources.
  • Knowledge of national and international trends in higher education enrollment and student success.
  • Proven ability to build consensus, foster collaboration, and cultivate relationships with all constituents.
  • Excellent strategic, collaborative, verbal and written communication skills to engage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations related to admissions records, student data, privacy (FERPA, GLBA, GDPR, etc.), financial aid compliance, and veteran education benefits.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data analytics, technology systems, and best practices for enrollment management.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, interpretation, and application to inform policy and operational decisions.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing innovative marketing, outreach, and communication strategies.
  • Solid skills in resource allocation, project management, and process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise senior administrators, governing boards, and legislative bodies on complex and sensitive enrollment issues.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information quickly and advocate for effective policies and practices.
  • Proven experience leading a large team in a fast-paced environment including hiring, performance reviews, organizational development, and conflict resolution.
  • Advanced degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience.
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the institution’s chief enrollment officer, providing strategic leadership and oversight of all enrollment functions.
  • Delivers data-informed insights and executive counsel to advance institutional priorities, shape enrollment strategy, and support student success across the full lifecycle—from recruitment through graduation.
  • Develops and executes comprehensive enrollment strategies to influence the size, composition, and academic profile of incoming classes, while strengthening student retention and persistence.
  • Establishes enrollment targets aligned with academic, financial, and reputational goals in close partnership with deans and other senior campus leaders.
  • Ensures the effective design and implementation of programs, policies, and systems that support institutional enrollment objectives.
  • Sets long-term strategic direction for enrollment, integrating planning across admissions, financial aid, budgeting, and institutional positioning.
  • Provides campuswide and system-level leadership on enrollment policy, representing the institution in external engagements while aligning with state and system priorities.
  • Plays a central role in organizational decision-making, leading high-impact initiatives and advising executive leadership on all matters related to enrollment strategy and performance.
